According to Tuttosport, Rodrigo de Paul’s move to Inter this Summer from Udinese is on the verge of finalisation.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has met with de Paul’s agent Augstin Jimenez to discuss personal terms after Inter struck a deal worth €30 million with the Bianconeri.
All that remains is to discuss exactly how that sum of money will be paid. Inter are keen to ensure they do not waste money and will try and make up a lot of the fee through multiple bonuses.
de Paul will be coming into an Inter who will be having an almost complete turnover of the wingers presently on the club’s books.
Matteo Politano is the only winger who will definitely remain at the club with Inter set to exercise his redemption clause.
Keita Balde’s future is unsure due to his big redemption clause fee whilst Ivan Perisic has made it clear that he wishes to play in the Premier League.
Inter will not stand in Perisic’s way so long as a club pays them €40 million, a sum of money that could go along way toward his replacement.
The favourite is Nicolas Pepe but Inter face strong competition from across Europe for his signature and Lille want at least €70 million.
PSV Eindhoven’s Steven Bergwijn is another option and Ausilio, who is a particularly big fan of his, has already spoken with his representatives. The Dutch side are commanding a €40 million fee for Bergwijn.
