Piero Ausilio was in London for last night’s Champions League fixture between Tottenham and Ajax according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
According to the Rome based newspaper, the main reasons Ausilio was present was to watch Hakim Ziyech, Donny Van De Beek, David Neres and Nicolas Tagliafico.
Ausilio could not watch Tagliafico at the Allianz Stadium due to the Argentine’s suspension, but he was without doubt among the best players during the first leg against Juventus. Also a stable in the national team, he played every game in the World Cup.
On the other hand, for Ziyech there could be a duel with Roma. 16 goals and 15 assists so far in the Dutch league, he is considered the crown jewel. The Giallorossi have had their eyes on him for a while whilst Bayern Munich recently pulled out of the race.
Then there is David Neres, a Brazilian born in the Netherlands and scored in the first round against Juventus.
