Ilkay Gunodgan was yesterday spotted leaving a luxury restaurant in Munich fuelling rumours that he could be set for a move to Bayern Munich this Summer, German news outlet BILD detail.

The German midfielder has drawn strong links to Inter as of late but his presence in Bavaria has led to suggestions that a return to his homeland could be on the cards.

28-year-old Gundogan seemingly has no intention of extending his contract with Manchester City, which is due to expire at the end of next season.

It can be presumed that City will not want to lose a player of his calibre for nothing therefore they may feel more inclined to sell him this Summer.

This season Gunodgan has been near ever present in Pep Guardiola’s side as he has made 47 appearances across all competitions to date. In 3134 minutes, the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder has scored five and assisted eight.
