Rob Witschge, the agent of Ajax star Donny van de Beek, has insisted that his client is not currently interested in the intense media speculation surrounding his future.
“Right now he wants to focus only on Ajax and on winning, but it is clear that after that he will discuss his future. There are only a few clubs that can afford him,” he said in an interview with Radio CRC.
Inter have drawn links to the 22-year-old attacking midfielder as well as Napoli among others.
Witschge was then asked about the Partenopei’s alleged interest in his client, who looks destined for a bright future.
“I will not confirm or deny any interest from Napoli. Everyone knows who Carlo Ancelotti is, it would be a pleasure for van de Beek to be coached by him.”
van de Beek has starred for the Dutch giants this season, particularly in their fairy-tale run in the Champions League. He has made 52 appearances to date scoring 16 and assisting 11.
