Journalist Sandro Sabatini has voiced his views on what he thinks will happen with Inter manager Luciano Spalletti and striker Mauro Icardi come the end of the season.
Despite being on the verge of leading Inter to the Champions League for the second consecutive year, Spalletti’s future in charge is seemingly in doubt as per some reports. Rumours about potential successors have persisted in recent weeks and months and Spalletti is expected to meet the Inter management to discuss his future at the end of the campaign.
As for Icardi, the 26-year-old’s relationship with the club is in tatters after a series of off-field controversies. Although now back involved with the team, many reports have suggested that he is destined to leave the club.
“I think that Spalletti will remain in charge of Inter whilst I think Icardi, whose value has depreciated, can only leave the club in a swap deal,” he remarked in an interview with Radio Marte.
