Journalist Paolo Condo has spoken on the lack of usage of VAR during Inter’s goalless draw with Udinese last night as he appeared as a guest in the Sky Sport studios.

There were some penalty shouts in favour of both sides during the match at the Dacia Arena but VAR was never used.

“I think that both are penalty kicks but strangely there was complete silence on the VAR front,” he began.

“I can understand that the referee perhaps didn’t see the kick on Icardi and that could happen however, when it comes to the contact on Mandragora by Brozovic, which in my opinion is also a penalty, we are talking about the actual contact which falls within the sphere of competence of the referee and VAR and we just have to accept it.”

He concluded: “VAR had to intervene.”
