Corriere della Sera report that no decision will be taken with regard to Luciano Spalletti’s future in charge will take place until club president Steven Zhang returns from a trip in his native China.
The former Chelsea coach is Beppe Marotta’s dream signing. Marotta would like next season’s Inter to have his stamp on it, as he has only arrived at Inter in December.
It is not a mystery that the Inter president also considers Conte to be the ideal figure that is capable of sending the team on the right track to success. The problem is that Conte is looking for a team with a winning project, and that could depend on their willingness to spend on the transfer market.
Meanwhile, Steven Zhang is in China and no decision will be made about Spalletti’s future until he returns to Milan.
The report goes on to state that Inter also face competition from Juventus, particularly if they part ways with Max Allegri.
In the event that Allegri leaves Juventus, Fabio Paratici would rush to bring Antonio Conte to Turin. Conte was recently asked about a possible return to Juventus and he responded with a vague “You never know.”
