Like many other newspapers today, La Repubblica have given their two cents on the situation regarding Antonio Conte’s future after the interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“At this point, in order to understand who Conte prefers to work for, we must wait for the meeting between Andrea Agnelli and Massimiliano Allegri. Juventus is his first choice after what he was able to do with them in the past.
“Conte has a good relationship with Juventus and is waiting to see what happens. However, if his future does not lie in Turin, Conte will not remain without work. Marotta, CEO of Inter, managed to convince him to prioritise the Nerazzurri ahead of Roma. Inter have offered Conte a contract worth €8 million and are now waiting.
“Marotta has stated that Spalletti is safe in order to calm the situation, but just last week Marotta met Conte in Milan. That was a crucial meeting as just a few hours prior, Conte had received his first contact from PSG. Time will tell where Conte’s future is.”
