Vecino Pushing To Return In Time For Inter’s Game Against Chievo

Matias Vecino will try in every way possible to be available for the match against Chievo according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

“During preparations for Inter’s game against Udinese last week, the midfielder had suffered a contraction in the right femoral rectum and was left out of the match against Udinese at the Dacia Arena.

“Inter’s goal for Vecino is to try to work through the problem and continue with training in order to get back in time by Monday evening,” their report reads.

Vecino has been a staple for Spalletti this season, as the coach has shown his trust in the Uruguayan by starting him countless times ahead of others like Gagliardini, Joao Mario, and Borja Valero.

Vecino is capable of contributing to goals with his ability to make forward runs into the box and cause trouble for the opposition’s defence. Having a player that can clutch a goal out of nowhere could be crucial for Inter’s end of season push for Champions League qualification.
