Inter are continuing to consider a move for Roma striker Edin Dzeko this summer if Antonio Conte becomes head coach, according to Sky Sport.

Dzeko has scored 86 goals in 171 appearances for Roma since arriving in 2015 and was close to joining Conte at Chelsea in January 2018.

The move to London ultimately broke down over wage demands, but the pair could finally be united at Inter if the Italian replaces Luciano Spalletti.

Roma are planning to sell Dzeko this summer with the Bosnian’s contract set to expire in 2020, although they have not yet made a final decision.

The Giallorossi’s strategy in the market will depend heavily on who they appoint to replace Claudio Ranieri, who announced this morning he would be leaving the club at the end of the season.

Dzeko’s arrival at Inter would naturally be dependent on Mauro Icardi being sold, but the Argentine’s future remains unclear following the protracted captaincy saga earlier in the season.
