Former Juventus and Italian international turned pundit Alessandro Del Piero has commented on reports that Antonio Conte will become the next Inter manager.
“It will be strange to see him on that bench, but Conte is a great professional and Inter has great potential,” he began as he appeared in the Sky Sport studios.
“Due to Marotta, this move does not surprise me. There are certainly the premises to do well there at Inter.”
He concluded: “Antonio’s rigidity and tactics could help Inter right now.”
As per various reports doing the rounds at the moment, Conte is set to succeed current Inter manager Luciano Spalletti on the Inter bench come the end of the current season.
Conte has been out of work since last Summer when he left Chelsea and he is expected to sign a three year deal worth €9 million a season with the Nerazzurri although some reports have even suggested it could be a four year deal.
