Following on from Inter’s 2-0 victory over Chievo Verona last night, Gazzetta dello Sport have reviewed Inter’s position in the race to secure Champions League qualification for next season’s edition of the competition.
“The most immediate need these days for Inter, panting and in the process of being restructured, was to understand the moment and not ruin everything,” the report from the Milan based newspaper begins.
“By doing this, they have been able to, even with the usual worries, approach the minimum objective, of qualification for the Champions League.
“Now Inter can continue to decide their own fate. With another victory, they will secure the millions that Champions League football brings.
The report goes on to conclude: “There is still time of course to argue or send messages via social media but at this point, for Inter to miss out on the Champions League, there would need to be a self-destruction masterpiece.”
