Former Napoli defender Giuseppe Bruscolotti has hit out at the sporting judge’s decision to not punish Inter for a portion of their fans chanting territorial chants against people from Napoli during their match with Chievo Verona on Monday night.

Whilst the sporting judge recognised the chants took place, Inter escaped punishment due to the fact the reporting of the incident did not meet the protocol.

“How is it possible not to close the Curva of Inter for their songs, why does the sports judge say the report was late? This shows there is a lack of respect for the people of Naples,” Bruscolotti said in an interview with TV Luna.

He then went on to speak about this weekend’s match between Napoli and Inter at the Stadio San Paolo.

“I hope the players know the importance of this game. I experienced these things when I was a player. I had to endure situations like this. Inter must be made to pay for these things.”
