Daniele De Rossi looks more likely to take the next steps his career abroad rather than with another club in Italy according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Two days ago it was announced that the 35-year-old would be leaving Roma at the end of the season with the Giallorossi unwilling to extend his contract.

Having spent his entire career on Roma’s books, De Rossi is now on the lookout for a new club. Inter have shown a slight interested whilst Sampdoria, due to president Massimo Ferrero, who is both Roman and a Roma fan, have also shown an interest.

De Rossi is deeply attached to the Roma colours and can not see himself pulling on the shirt of another Italian team, at least for the time being.

MLS outfit New York City are believed to be leading the race to sign him whilst Los Angeles FC are also keen on him. The report goes on to state that he could even end up at Boca Juniors in Argentina, due to his relationship with Nicolas Burdisso.
