Inter defeated Chievo in the Serie A at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district to be within one step of qualifying for the group stages of the Champions League.
The Nerazzurri dominated the match from the start as the visitors from Verona parked the bus in their own penalty area.
However, Inter’s Italian international winger Matteo Politano broke the deadlock with his 5th goal in this seasons Serie A midway through the first half.
Ivan Perisic, who has been in great goalscoring form of late, doubled the Nerazzurri’s lead in the second half, putting the three points beyond doubt by scoring his 7th Serie A goal of the season.
