Inter are at work trying to sell Mauro Icardi and have two main objectives they wish to achieve through his sale according to a report from La Repubblica.

The problems throughout the season appear to have created an irreparable tear in the relations between the club and the 26-year-old striker and the club are therefore now open to selling him come the end of the season.

In order to sell him, they will need an adequate offer which will allow them to reinvest funds into a replacement.

The Rome based newspapers report reads: “The club are working to sell him, probably to Juventus, with the double objective of producing a large capital gain and pacification of the locker room.”

Icardi has made 35 appearances across all competitions for the club this season. In 2857 minutes on the park, Icardi, who is under contract with the club for a further two seasons, has scored 16 goals and tallied five assists.
