There will be no representatives from neither the playing or management side of Inter in attendance at tonight’s Gentleman FairPlay Prize 2019 event in Milan according to a report from news agency ANSA.
Some players and members of the management were expected to attend the event at the Teuliè Military School in Milan but after last night’s 4-1 defeat to Napoli, a decision has been taken for everyone connected to the Inter environment to not attend so to protect them from any criticism after the match and ahead of this weekend’s season finale with Empoli.
The report goes on to state that several members of the management took in Inter training today to keep a close eye on things.
Sporting director Piero Ausilio and his deputy Dario Baccin were in attendance as was chief of football operations Giovanni Gardini.
Vice president Javier Zanetti was absent due to being tied up with other commitments elsewhere and Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta was absent due to being at a Serie A league meeting.
