Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that this season will one many fans will want to forget, as they await a clean slate in the Summer with the sale of many players who have overstayed their welcome.

For example, according to the report: “Ivan Perisic, who was linked to a move to Manchester United last Summer for €50 million, but now the club must accept their losses and would be lucky to get €30 million for the Croatian.”

“Similarly, although many fans did not see it coming, now Mauro Icardi looks likely to leave. They can forget getting his release clause, now an offer of €60-70 million would suffice.”

“Others such as, Nainggolan, Gagliardini, Dalbert and Vecino have also had their price tags halved. Some of these will stay, but we’ll have to wait and see to find out Conte’s judgement.”

The Gazzetta also want to point out that among the thorns there are also some flowers: “Lautaro Martinez, is now worth around €40 million, after his debut season in Italy. Milan Skriniar’s consistency has earned him another rise to €75 million and his defensive partner, de Vrij has gone from 0 to €20 million.”
