Stephan El Shaarawy could move to either Inter or Napoli with a solution to the impasse in contract negotiations between himself and Roma looking unlikely according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The tricky Italian winger’s deal with the Giallorossi is due to expire at the end of the next season.
He currently earns €2.5 million a season and is understood to want to be regarded as a top player by the club. Corriere dello Sport suggest he may want at least €4 million to carry on with the capital city club and as things stand it does not look likely that Roma will be able to meet his demands.
For this reason, the 26-year-old is looking around for offers that Roma might entertain. Due to his expiring contract status, the Rome based newspaper’s report suggests €15-20 million could be enough.
He is, as per the report, not interested in a return to former club Milan or to Juventus but both Inter and Napoli are potential landing spots for him.
The report concludes, there could be a huge revival on the seemingly dying renewal front when Gianluca Petrachi assumes his position as the club’s new sporting director but time is certainly running out.
