According to a report in Turin based newspaper Tuttosport today, everyone at Inter is convinced by Roma striker Edin Dzeko and would like to wrap up the deal quickly.

“Spalletti began to understand that he is not part of Inter’s future plans when Piero Ausilio started negotiating for Edin Dzeko, considering they did not have a happy ending at Roma. Conte, however, admirers the Bosnian striker so much that he wanted to bring Dzeko to Chelsea.”

“One of Dzeko’s qualities that is highly appreciated is his ability to play for the team and act as a link between the midfield and the attack. Everyone at Inter is convinced by Dzeko and would like to seal the deal quickly.”

“It is possible that Inter buy more than one striker. However in the case that Inter fails to qualify for next season’s Champions League, some of the other targets would become unattainable (Lukaku, Racharlison, Chiesa.) Marotta expects to spend no more than 10-12 million euros for Dzeko, considering his contract expires in 2020.”

“Dzeko is considered by Conte and Marotta to be a fundamental element in the locker room as he has the leadership abilities and is a player who has won so much in his career. This is the same spirit that convinced Inter to sign Diego Godin.”
