Even though a place in the group stages of next season’s Champions League is yet to be secured, Inter has not stopped planning for this Summer’s transfer window, Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
Of course that fourth spot is crucial in order to achieve some of the goals of Marotta and Ausilio have set up and according to the Gazzetta proposes the duo have a shopping list as per new coach Antonio Conte
“Federico Chiesa, the Fiorentina winger would be perfect for the former Chelsea coach, because the other options, especially Danilo, have cooled down.”
“Chiesa is young and is able to adapt very well to a 5-men midfield, as an offensive central attacking midfielder or a winger in a classic 4-4-2. He commands a very high price tag at €70 million but Inter could offer players like Gagliardini in order to reduce the sum.”
“Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini could leave the Italian capital thanks to his buy-out-clause which is set at €30 million. However, also in this case Inter would like to reduce the cash payment by offering goalkeeper Radu, who will come back to the club from Genoa.”
“With regards to Nicolo Barella, the 22-year old Cagliari player, €50 million is needed. This is too high for Inter, something that obviously complicates the deal. In addition to that, there is a risk of getting another Nainggolan, a player that Conte will try to motivate in order to get the best of him in the coming season.”
“Macnhester United paid €74 million for Romelu Lukaku in 2017 and today his value is no less than €50 million. Inter has already contacted United making an offer of €30 million plus Ivan Perisic. A swap could be possible, but only if Lukaku decreases his salary, which is currently at €8 million net.”
“Roma are asking €20 million for Edin Dzeko but Inter do not want to go above €10-12 million. But there is a possibility for a deal.”
“In conclusion the rumors about Inter’s interest in Duvan Zapata are returning. But this deal is a bit more complicated since Atalanta still has to redeem the player from Sampdoria.”
