In an interview with Brazilian news outlet globoesporte, Inter defender Dalbert has reflected on this season.

“It was a season without any titles, unfortunately. Personally speaking, I am happy to have scored my first goal for the club. I am looking for continuity on the field. I know I must be patient until I have this opportunity,” he began the interview.

He then spoke on his most recent appearance which came in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Empoli.

“It was an intense match because it was worth a lot for us and also for Empoli. I am happy to have come on and to have helped the team reach the Champions League.”

He concluded by reflecting on Inter’s Champions League campaign.

“This season we ended up in a very difficult group, which had Barcelona and Tottenham, and we fought for the qualification until the last game.

“Barcelona made it to the semifinals while Tottenham is in the final. Next season we have to be even more careful, because we know that the Champions League is the toughest competition in the world.”
