Nicolo Barella has promised himself to Inter, after having a agreed the basics of a contract and will continue to reject all other offers, at least according Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

According to the report all that is left to finalize the deal is for the clubs to find an agreement for the transfer. Cagliari President Giullini wants €45-50 million, much more than Inter are willing to offer.

“There have been concerns that because of this the deal would fall through, but actually there is optimism on both sides. Inter will pay part cash and insert a Primavera player or players to make up for the rest.”

“Cagliari are interested in Esposito, Bastoni and Eder but the Nerazzurri do not want to repeat the Zaniolo case, therefore the first two are out of the question. Also, Eder’s contract with Jiangsu Suning is too expensive for Cagliari to take on.”

“So, Inter could offer Merola, Gavioli or Colidio instead. The first two would also make some capital gains but it remains to be known if Cagliari are interested.”
