Gabriel Brazao will be part of the Inter squad for pre-season to give incoming manager Antonio Conte and his staff a chance to assess him according to a report from FCInterNews.it.
Due to limitations on non-EU player registrations in Italian football, Inter struck a deal with Parma back in the January transfer window for them to sign him. Come the Summer transfer window, Inter will sign Brazao, which is a formality, the report states.
The 18-year-old Brazilian youth international is regarded as one of the top goalkeeping prospects of his generation but was unable to make any appearances in his time with Parma. Upon arriving at the Ducali from Cruzeiro, he made the bench on 12 occasions.
Brazao’s performances in pre-season will largely determine what his immediate future with the club is. In all likelihood a loan move somewhere in Italy, which will help him acclimatise to Italian football, will happen.
