Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport dedicates their first two pages of today’s newspaper to Inter’s official announcement of Antonio Conte as head coach.

“Antonio Conte is not for everyone, he is only for Inter, who today will announce his signing to the world. The announcement, the interviews, social media content, talks with Steven Zhang, discussions with Marotta, and the trip to Madrid to attend the Champions League final at the Wanda Metropolitano, all of that will be shown and broadcasted. Conte has already taken over at Inter without having trained the team for even a minute.”

“It is a massive sign that Conte will meet Zhang Jindong in Madrid considering that all previous new signings have always had to go to Nanjing to get to meet the owner. Conte is an investment that goes deeper than just what we will see on the pitch, he is a big name with a great image.”

“It was no coincidence that Inter have decided to accelerate his signing; the club wanted to take advantage of the Champions League final by ‘selling’ the image of Antonio Conte sitting next to the Inter management.”

“The photos of Conte with Zhang are accompanied by the new slogan ‘not for everyone’. This is the message that Inter are trying to convey from now one, that they are not for everyone.”

“The idea is to make this phrase as recognizable and as identifiable with Inter as much as ‘Just do it’ is for Nike.”
