Inter have been described as a potential ‘ally’ for Real Madrid this summer as the Nerazzurri consider moves for four of their fringe players.
Catalan-based paper Mundo Deportivo today linked Gareth Bale, Nacho, Lucas Vazquez and Mateo Kovacic to the club as Zinedine Zidane attempts to trim his squad ahead of the 2019-20 season.
Bale’s wages are likely to render any deal impossible for the Welsh forward but the other three could become realistic objectives for Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio.
“Kovacic knows Inter well and his qualities in midfield could be valuable for the Nerazzurri,” the Spanish publication explained.
“Nacho’s defensive versatility and Lucas’s ability to do everything are also attractive to Conte, though, a tactically meticulous coach whose footballing philosophy is based on physical exertion.
“The Italian will try and pick up what he can from Madrid, thereby becoming an ally by trimming their squad.”
Inter were also linked by Sky Sport to forward Marco Asensio last week, but no developments have arrived since.
