Inter transfer target Bruno Fernandes has insisted that he has not asked to leave current employers Sporting Lisbon amid a wealth of reported interest in his services despite having dreams of playing elsewhere.
The Portuguese midfielder has just had his best season to date scoring 32 times and assisting 18 goals in 53 appearances.
“I never said I wanted to leave Sporting. I am fine here but there are clubs and proposals that you cannot refuse,” he admitted in an interview with Portuguese radio station Radio Renascenca.
“I will go away only if Sporting agrees with me. I have dreams to fulfil, one of them is to play in England. I am not just saying that because we are talking about English clubs being interested in me, it has always been my dream.”
He concluded: “I do not know how true what is written in the newspapers is but I will have time to understand it.”
