Inter have placed a €2.5 million price-tag on the head of midfielder Borja Valero, who has offered himself to Fiorentina according to a report from Milan based news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 34-year-old midfielder swapped Fiorentina for Inter back in 2017 and has since went on to make 75 appearances across all competitions for Inter.

However, the Spaniard looks set to become a casualty of Inter’s midfield revolution with a couple new midfielders, at least, expected to arrive over the course of the Summer transfer window.

He currently earns €3 million a season and Fiorentina have made it clear that they can only sign him if Inter agree to let him go for nothing. On top of this, La Viola will ask the ageing midfielder to spread his €3 million salary across a two year contract.

This past season, the former Villarreal midfielder made 38 appearances across all competitions. In 1749 minutes on the park, the one-time Spanish international provided one assist.
