Inter Goalkeeper Radu Refuses To Comment On Transfer Talk

Inter goalkeeper Ionut Radu remained tight-lipped on his future last night when asked where he would be playing next season.

Radu was resigned by the Nerazzurri from Genoa earlier this month but is widely expected to rejoin the Grifone on loan for another year.

The youngster was linked with a move to Roma during talks for Edin Dzeko but Inter were adamant they would not sell him on a permanent deal.

“I need to decide on my future together with my agent, we’ll see,” Radu told TuttoMercatoWeb.

Radu helped Romania’s under-21s reach the semifinals of the European Championships in Italy, losing 4-2 to Germany on Thursday.

The 22-year-old said he was proud of his side’s achievement but did not take comfort from the idea they had made history.

“I’m pleased about how we fared at this tournament but it would have been nice to make the final,” he admitted.

“We’ve rewritten history for our country but we live in the present and history is all about the past. We’re happy to have qualified for next summer’s Olympics, though, which Romania hadn’t done for 56 years.”
