Zinho Vanheusden wants Inter to reassure him they will continue to monitor his progress before agreeing to join Standard Liege, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The clubs have reached an agreement for a permanent deal worth €12 million, which will also grant the Nerazzurri a cut of any future transfer fee.
Vanheusden has not given the green light, though, because he wants to be sure Inter will consider resigning him in the future.
“The only thing holding this deal up now are Zinho’s own doubts,” the paper reported this morning.
“If he receives reassurances from Inter that they won’t lose sight of him…”
Xian Emmers was due to join Standard on a season-long loan as part of the agreement, but the midfielder will no longer be included in the deal.
Vanheusden was a starting centre-back for Michel Preud’homme’s side last season before a knee injury ruled him out of the end-of-year playoffs.
