Edin Dzeko is keen to force through a move to Inter this week so he does not have to rejoin Roma for preseason, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Giallorossi have called up the Bosnian for their summer training camp, which starts next Tuesday, and are showing no signs of compromising on their €20 million asking price.

Dzeko agreed personal terms with Inter more than a month ago and expected his future to be resolved by now.

“He’s not happy in the slightest and now his entourage are contemplating what strategy they should adopt,” the paper reported this morning.

“The professionalism he has demonstrated throughout his career will prevent him from shocking moves like refusing to turn up for training at Roma.

“He wants to understand whether there is anything he can do to push the clubs towards finding an agreement, though.”

Dzeko will have limited motivation to work under Roma’s new boss Paulo Fonseca after choosing to finish his career in Milan with Antonio Conte.

The 33-year-old also rejected a new contract owner James Pallotta offered him recently, and he is willing to reiterate that ‘no’ should he receive another offer.

He believes Roma’s asking price is excessive but also expects Inter to make an effort to raise their offer, having signed Valentino Lazaro and Stefano Sensi for fees north of €20 million.

Talks between the clubs are at a standstill with neither party in any mood to create a constructive dialogue.

Inter were annoyed at Roma’s approach for Nicolo Barella while the capital club didn’t appreciate the Nerazzurri’s attempt to sign Dzeko on the cheap.

It remains unclear which side will make the first move towards the other.
