Inter & Roma Unwilling To Reach Compromise For Edin Dzeko After Barella Scrap

Inter and Roma’s battle to sign Nicolò Barella has jeopardised the clubs’ talks for Edin Dzeko, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Giallorossi are now determined not to drop their asking price below €20 million, having seemingly lost out on the midfielder.

Inter will not offer more than €10-12 million, though, because Dzeko is 33 and has just entered the final year of his contract in the capital.

Dzeko is hopeful Inter will raise their offer while Roma lower their demands, allowing him to get his wish of joining the Nerazzurri.

Inter and Roma are receiving help from a high-profile FIFA agent, who is attempting to mediate between the parties after relations turned cold last week.

However, the distance between offer and asking price remains ‘noteworthy’ and there is no sign an agreement is imminent.

Dzeko scored 16 goals for Roma in all competitions last season and is on holiday in Dubrovnik at the moment.
