Roma Want €20 Million For Dzeko But Time Is On Inter’s Side

Inter’s position in their talks with Roma for Edin Dzeko becomes stronger with each day that passes, Gazzetta dello Sport reported this morning.

The Giallorossi yesterday confirmed they were out of the race to sign Nicolò Barella and now expect Inter to raise their offer for the Bosnian, who they rate at €20 million.

Inter have no intention of paying that much for a player who is out of contract next summer, though, especially given Dzeko has already agreed personal terms with them.

Beppe Marotta is also aware he would be indirectly helping Juventus by signing Dzeko now, because it would free up a spot for Gonzalo Higuain in the capital.

Inter have decided to put their pursuits of Dzeko and Barella on hold because Antonio Conte wants to make Romelu Lukaku his top priority.

Both players have said ‘yes’ to the club and that puts them in a very strong position with both Roma and Cagliari.

Time is on Inter’s side and they are happy to wait a little longer while focusing their attention on Lukaku.
