Newly relegated Empoli are looking into the possibility of signing Inter owned Romianian international striker George Puscas, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
According to the report, Empoli have added the former Palermo striker to the list of replacements for Italian striker Francesco Caputo who is on his way to Sassuolo.
Puscas, spent last season with Palermo in the Serie B after having joined them on a loan with a forced option to buy, but since the Rosanero filed for bankruptcy they were unable to pay the fee and so Puscas has returned to Inter.
Puscas, had a successful stint last season with Palermo scoring 9 goals in 33 matches and was an integral part of the Sicilian side finishing in a playoff spot for the Serie A, but due to being unable to balance their books they were disqualified and will have to restart in Serie D.
