Romelu Lukaku will travel with the rest of the Manchester United squad to Australia as the Premier League outfit begin their pre-season tour according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian has been heavily linked with a move to Inter but as of yet there are no concrete negotiations between the club which is why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has summoned the 26-year-old.

United were keen to ensure they did not put themselves in a position of weakness by excluding Lukaku from the tour and with him to travel, they can remain firm with their €85 million demands.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Juventus’ apparent interest in Lukaku is solely to try and disrupt Inter’s pursuit but Inter remain confident that they can get a deal done for the former Chelsea attacker.

Juventus are hopeful that they can perhaps force Inter into meeting United’s demands which would require them to sell Mauro Icardi, who they are truly interested in. They also hope it could lead to Inter accepting a lower offer from themselves for Icardi out of desparation for wanting to secure Lukaku.
