Inter Target Dzeko Doesn’t Feel He Belongs At Roma Anymore

Edin Dzeko cut a cold and distant figure at Roma’s training ground today as the Bosnian waits to join Inter, according to Sky Sport.

Neither Dzeko nor Steven Nzonzi stopped to pose for photographs with supporters as they began preseason training with the Giallorossi.

The 33-year-old feels he does not belong at Roma anymore and does not want to be part of Paulo Fonseca’s new-look side.

Inter have been in talks to sign the striker for weeks but they remain distant from Roma’s asking price.

Dzeko had hoped to officially join the Nerazzurri long before now but negotiations have proved slow and painful.

Antonio Conte also wanted him to arrive in time for preseason, alongside Romelu Lukaku, but so far neither have completed moves.

Fonseca earlier told reporters he only wanted players who were ‘motivated’ and ‘wanted to fight for the club’, which has been interpreted as an indirect message to Dzeko.
