Inter want to complete a deal for Nicolò Barella and make an official announcement in the next 48 hours, according to Sky Sport.

The Nerazzurri will sign the midfielder from Cagliari on loan with an obligation to buy, with an overall valuation of €45 million plus add-ons.

The clubs are working to sort the last few details of their agreement, which regard how the deal for Barella will be structured financially.

Barella will in all likelihood be ready in time to join Antonio Conte’s side for their preseason tour in Asia.

Inter began training for the new season in Switzerland on Monday and will stay there until the end of the week.

Valentino Lazaro and Stefano Sensi are the only new signings Conte is working with at present, as talks for Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku are taking longer than expected.

Barella would become the fourth new first-team arrival after Lazaro, Sensi and Diego Godin.
