Milan Skriniar today warned his Inter teammates they would need to give everything from day one under new boss Antonio Conte.

The Nerazzurri have completed four days of preseason training in Switzerland and are gearing up for their first friendly against Lugano at the weekend.

Speaking to Sky Sport, the defender assured supporters they would be fighting to finish ‘in the top positions’ in Serie A.

“There’s a lot of determination to work and improve,” Skriniar said.

“We’re working hard and well and that’s important. We knew what to expect from our new coach and we’ve seen that from the first day of training.

“What we know is that we have to give our maximum from the very start this season.”

Skriniar signed a new four-year deal with Inter in May and insisted he was happy at the club, before discussing the idea of playing in a three-man defence.

“I’ve always said I wanted to stay here and I’m happy to be at Inter,” he added.

“We might play with a new system with our new coach so we need to be very concentrated. We’re working towards using it.”
