Piero Ausilio refused to reveal any details of Inter’s face-to-face talks with Manchester United about Romelu Lukaku tonight.

Inter’s sporting director flew back to Milan on Thursday evening after spending the day in London with the Red Devils’ management.

Sky Sport earlier reported United want €85 million to sell Lukaku, whereas Inter were only offering €70 million in three installments.

“There’s no news regarding Lukaku,” Ausilio told reporters at Linate airport.

“Today was a meeting between two important clubs in Inter and Manchester United.

“All the players we’re following are targets we’ve agreed with Antonio Conte. We want to satisfy his request within certain financial parameters.”

Conte wants Inter to sign Lukaku as soon as possible, but the exit poll following today’s talks in England do not seem particularly encouraging.

Ausilio then played dumb when informed that Nicolò Barella was due to arrive in Milan for a medical tonight.

“Is he? I didn’t know that…” he added.
