Antonio Conte yesterday included Radja Nainggolan in one of Inter’s tactical drills for the first time this week, Gazzetta dello Sport reported today.

The midfielder remains out of Conte’s plans for the coming season and will sit out Sunday’s preseason opener against Lugano on Sunday, alongside Mauro Icardi.

Nainggolan did take part in a series of exercises and kickabouts on a shortened pitch before lunch, though, having been excluded throughout the week.

Conte gave Inter’s players the afternoon off after three days of intense double sessions, reuniting the squad for dinner at 8pm local time.

The first team resumed full training today as they ramp up preparation for the new Serie A campaign, which begins on 24 August.

Matteo Politano will miss the rest of Inter’s Swiss boot camp after picking up a thigh strain on Thursday, but the Italian international will fly to China for their summer tour of Asia.
