Nicolò Barella could join up with his new Inter teammates at their training camp in Switzerland tonight, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The midfielder arrived in Milan on Thursday evening and will complete a medical with the Nerazzurri today, before being officially announced as Inter’s fourth summer signing.

Inter have signed Barella on a €12 million loan with an obligation to buy for €25 million plus add-ons worth €12 million.

Cagliari are almost certain to receive €8 million of those add-ons, taking the overall fee to €45 million, but the final €4 million are related to Inter’s results as a team and will be far harder to activate.

Antonio Conte is waiting for Barella in Lugano as he prepares for Inter’s first preseason friendly against Lugano on Sunday.

The 22-year-old will probably arrive tomorrow if he does not make it there tonight, but in any case he should be in the stands for the game at the Stadio Cornaredo.

Barella rejected a superior salary from Roma to join Inter and has waived the last few days of his holidays to get started immediately, having represented Italy at last month’s under-21 Euros.
