Roma Could Drop Asking Price For Inter Target Dzeko Soon

Inter could soon move much closer to signing Edin Dzeko as Roma consider lowering their asking price, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Giallorossi have been firm on their €20 million valuation thus far, causing talks to stall towards the end of last month.

They are now sending ‘less negative signals’ than they were a few days ago, though, suggesting talks could resume before long.

“Closing a deal for Dzeko before returning to their battle for Lukaku would be vital for Inter,” Gazzetta added this morning.

Dzeko has grown impatient with the standby in recent weeks and was beginning to consider ending his interest in Inter.

The Bosnian will be free to negotiate with any club from January and has various offers from Chinese clubs, which would scupper Beppe Marotta’s plan to sign him for free next summer.

It appears the 33-year-old may well have his original wish granted after all, though, as Roma prepare to soften their bargaining stance.
