Roma Will Let Dzeko Join Inter After They Have Signed Higuain

Inter will be allowed to sign Edin Dzeko once Roma have secured Gonzalo Higuain as his replacement, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Giallorossi’s sporting director Gianluca Petrachi called Piero Ausilio recently to inform him they are waiting for Pipita to accept a move.

Juventus no longer want Higuain and have begun talks with his brother and agent Nicolas, suggesting a deal could be concluded soon.

The Bianconeri have identified Mauro Icardi as their first choice to replace Higuain, whom Inter remain keen to sell.

Icardi, Higuain and Dzeko’s futures are inextricably linked this summer as Inter, Juventus and Roma attempt to sort out their attacking line-ups for the new season.

Maurito has been excluded from the Nerazzurri’s preseason tour in Asia and will train alone at Appiano Gentile until Antonio Conte’s side return.

Conte identified Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku as his primary targets to replace the Argentine up front, but neither have so far arrived.

The former Chelsea boss will be eager for Roma to complete a deal for Higuain so the Bosnian can be freed up to sign for Inter.
