Inter will soon make a breakthrough in their bid to sign Edin Dzeko from Roma, according to Corriere della Sera.

Antonio Conte is eager to welcome the Bosnian and his pressure has persuaded Inter to accelerate talks with the Giallorossi.

Roma initially wanted €20 million in cash for Dzeko but the deal could end up including other players as well.

Inter will need a few more days to agree a deal, but they are moving closer to securing one of Conte’s top transfer targets alongside Romelu Lukaku.

Corriere also reported Mauro Icardi had started considering the possibility of joining Napoli this summer, having excluded any club other than Juventus up until now.

Aurelio De Laurentiis tried to seduce the striker’s wife and agent Wanda Nara in 2016 by offering her a role in one of his films, and he will begin a similar charm offensive soon.

Icardi’s interest in Napoli is described as ‘a small opening’, but it is something for the Partenopei to work with. The club have contacted Maurito’s entourage and did not receive a straight ‘no’.

Inter also revived their interest for Matteo Darmian yesterday, meeting the defender’s agent Tullio Tinti at their offices in Milan.
