Inter Prepared To Make Roma Improved €15 Million Offer For Edin Dzeko

Inter are preparing to make Roma a new €15 million offer for Edin Dzeko next week, according to Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri want to sign two strikers for Antonio Conte and agreed they should up their bid for the Bosnian when they met in Nanjing earlier this week.

Beppe Marotta will make fresh contact with the Giallorossi’s management when Serie A’s fixture ceremony takes place at Sky Sport’s HQ on Monday.

There is no guarantee Roma will accept the improved bid, however, not least because they have yet to secure Gonzalo Higuain or another replacement.

Romelu Lukaku remains Inter’s other key target up front but the Belgian is in a different position to Dzeko.

Manchester United were linked in the English media today with a move for Lyon forward Moussa Dembele as a replacement, but they would only sign him after Inter up their offer for Lukaku.

Rafael Leao is an alternative option for Inter if Lukaku proves unobtainable, but Milan are interested now in the Lille forward too.

Edinson Cavani and Duvan Zapata are other potential ‘Plan Bs’.
