Samuele Longo was confident Antonio Conte would leave Inter’s preseason tour in Asia happy with his new team’s progress.
The Nerazzurri beat Paris Saint-German in the International Super Cup earlier today, prevailing 6-5 in a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw.
Longo scored Inter’s stoppage-time equaliser in Macao, cancelling out Thilo Kehrer’s first-half opener for the French champions.
“It was a great performance from the team,” the striker told Inter TV.
“Obviously, I’m pleased. Today I had the chance to score and I took it.
“The first half was better than the second and the coach told us to demonstrate what we’d been working on in the week and what we’ll be working on throughout the season.
“It’s been 20 days of intense work and we’ve all given our all. I think that the coach and his backroom staff are pleased.”
Longo is widely expected to join Deportivo La Coruna on loan when Inter return to Italy tomorrow morning.
Conte’s side will resume training at Appiano Gentile on Tuesday, before work begins for their final preseason matches against Tottenham and Valencia.
