Inter manager Antonio Conte continues to want Edin Dzeko signed but Roma continue to prove difficult to negotiate with according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter have been after Dzeko for some time now and have held several talks with Roma over the Bosnian veteran but still seem far from striking a deal with the Giallorossi.

It is believed that Roma continue to demand €20 million, despite Dzeko’s desire to leave and the fact he has just a year left on his contract in the Italian capital and Inter are unwilling to meet these demands.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta confirmed that the club would sign two strikers this Summer with one being an ‘expert’ and the other a younger player.

Inter are currently tracking Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku and the Milan based newspaper’s report goes on to state that if they cannot get a deal done, they could well turn their attention to Paris St. Germain striker Edinson Cavani.

The 32-year-old Uruguayan currently earns €14 million a season and is valued at around €50 million by his current employers but if the right conditions are there, Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio and Marotta will make a move.
