Napoli are keen admirers of Inter striker Mauro Icardi but are biding their time before making a move for the Argentine according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Icardi has been told in no uncertain terms that he has no future at the Nerazzurri by club managment and a departure during the transfer window seems almost inevitable.

Whilst Juventus showed an interest in signing him, Inter have zero interest in dealing the 26-year-old to their arch-rivals whilst they are seemingly not opposed to the idea of dealing with Napoli.

Inter are understood to value Icardi at around the €60 million mark but the report goes on to state that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has other ideas about how he could acquire the former Sampdoria striker.

De Laurentiis is waiting to see if there is a possibility that a deal could be done for Icardi on the basis of striker Arkadiusz Milik going in the opposite direction and this could happen in August, the Milan based newspaper conclude.
