Romelu Lukaku has asked Manchester United’s leadership to reduce their demands for him as he looks to join Inter this Summer according to a report from British tabloid The Sun.

The red devils are currently believed to be demanding around €80 million for the 26-year-old but Inter are hoping that the Belgian striker’s price can drop to around the €65 million mark so they can complete what would be the club’s record signing.

The report also states that Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given a deadline of Wednesday for a deal to be thrashed out.

The Norwegian is cautious about letting things drag on past this day as there is little enough time already for the Old Trafford outfit to secure a replacement if Lukaku is to get his move to the Nerazzurri.

If by the end of Wednesday no deal has been reached, Solskjaer, who is going into his first full season in charge, will look to reincorporate him with the team.
