Inter’s Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan is one step away from completing a loan move to Serie A outfit Cagliari, Rome based media outlet Corriere dello Sport reports.

According to the report, it is practically a done deal that the former Roma midfielder returns to Cagliari and Sardinia on loan. The player did not take part in today’s training session with the rest of the Inter squad due to the fact that negotiations between the two clubs concerning him were ongoing.

Now, the Corriere dello Sport reports, the negotiations are one step away from being concluded as Nainggolan’s agent Alessandro Beltrami is ironing out the final details with Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini as well as with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio.

The deal will be on the basis of a loan but nothing else is known regarding the transfer as the parties are hoping to wrap up the deal tonight, so Nainggolan can undergo his medical examinations tomorrow before putting pen to paper an completing his move to Cagliari.
